Description:
Send emails to students/guardians using your Gmail / Google Apps for Education account. This will also keep a history of all the emails sent to the student/guardian.

Email Headers (To, Cc, Bcc): Users now can set which email header to use while sending the email.

Installation:
- Log in to PowerSchool as an admin and navigate to Plugin Management Dashboard.
- Click Install to add the plugin.
- Add GmailPlugin.zip file.
- Click Install.
- Find the plugin “PowerSchool Gmail Plugin” from the list and click the enabled checkbox.
Instructions:
For Google API (Gmail API):
- Log in to PowerSchool as an admin and navigate to System >> API Settings (Under AV Google Mail Management)
- Follow the steps under “Get Google Client ID and API Key”
For TinyMCE API:
- Log in to PowerSchool as an admin and navigate to System >> API Settings (Under AV Google Mail Management)
- Follow the steps under “Get TinyMCE Client ID and API Key”
Send Student / Guardian Email (Admin):
- Go to Student Profile
- On the left navigation bar, click on New Email under the Email header
- Click on Authorize to Authorize the PowerSchool with your School Email ID / Any Gmail ID you want to send an email to.
Send Bulk Email (Admin):
- Select group of students
- Click on Send Mass Email
- Click on Authorize to Authorize the PowerSchool with your School Email ID / Any Gmail ID you want to send email to.
Allow Teachers to Email:
- Log in to PowerSchool as an admin and navigate to System >> Email Security (Under AV Google Mail Management)
- Change “Yes” next to Allow Teachers to Send Email
Send Student / Guardian Email (Teacher):
- Go to Student Profile through Backpack / Student ID Icon.
- Select New Email from the student screen dropdown.
- Click on Authorize to Authorize the PowerSchool with your School Email ID / Any Gmail ID you want to send email to.
Send Bulk Email (Teacher):
- Click on the Email Icon next to your class.
- Click on Authorize to Authorize the PowerSchool with your School Email ID / Any Gmail ID you want to send email to.
Contacts in Mass Email:
- Log in to PowerSchool as an admin and navigate to System >> Bulk Email Student Contact(s) (Under AV Google Mail Management)
- Select the contact type which you would like to include in mass email functionality.
